Accompanists

LARISA CZABAN

She is a pianist and a chamber musician. She graduated with honours from the S. Prokofiev Academy of Music in Doneck. She studied under the tutelage of Natalia Czesnokova (Ukraine) and Aleftina Lekah (Israel).

 In 1992 she was a laureate of “Golden Autumn” –  the First International Chamber Music Competition in Khmelnytskyi (Ukraine). 

She is a member of the Ukrainian Association of the Pianist-Laureates of International Contests. Since 1998 she has been permanently employed by the Silesian Opera in Bytom.  She co-operates with the Grand Theatre in Łódź, the National Symphonic Orchestra of the Polish Radio in Katowice or the Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Kraków Simfonietta Caracovia.

Since 2000 she has been the accompanist of the International Adam Didur Opera Singers’ Competition.  In 2013 she participated in the 1st European Academy of Vocal Art organised by the Silesian Opera.

In 2016 she took part in the Polish première of the two-act chamber opera “Anne Frank’s Diary” by Grigoiy Frida at the 4th International  Krzysztof Penderecki Festival “Level 320”, and a year later in the fifth edition of that Festival she participated in performing the monumental “Seven Gates to Jerusalem” by Penderecki.

During Sinfonietta Festival in 2017 she performed with Lethiec Trio from France presenting the compositions of Mel Bonis, a French composer; in 2018 together with Simfonia Varsovia and Simfonietta Cracovia she played in the concert for two string orchestras, piano and timpani by Bohuslav Martinů.

She gives numerous concerts in Poland and abroad.  Her rich repertoire includes vocal literature oeuvre, over 40 operas, operettas and musicals (piano transcriptions).
